How long did it take you to get into the music industry? Been going for about 2 years now. Basically started playing around camp fires for my friends and didn't think I'd actually make a career out if this.

What inspired you to write the song Delarey? Being proud of who you are and where you come from, the culture, speaking afrikaans. Taking a part of history and reminding people where we come from. In history books in schools now a days there are only four lines about the Boer war and I find after Delarey people are going out and reading up about our history. Totally out schools syllabus as if it never happened Is there a theme running through your album or you tryingto send out a message? No not really, got the party songs on the album, kuier lietjies and even the rugby songs. A lot like me, I like partying, having a laugh and there is the serious side to me as well. The party songs are a lot like the afrikaans culture cause it's a lot like that over the rugby, braai vleis, drinking a beer with friends so thats basically the theme Are you receiving airplay on any radio stations? Yes a lot, the bigger radio stations are a little bit funny, RSG, and the smaller community radio stations like Bay FM – Delarey been number 1 for 8 weeks How many albums have you sold so far – Platinum or gold? Double Platinum What are your plans for the future? At the moment we working a DVD, 6 Feb at Blue Moon in Nelspruit and starting to write the new album, probably going into studio June/July and release it before the end of the year, maybe at the Aardklop Fees. Are you thinking of going overseas to play gigs there? I've got lots of requests, had a request today to play in Canada cause theres lots of Afrikaans people over there. Fully booked for 2007 and gigs in 2008. Only days I have open for the rest of the year is Sundays and Mondays How do you cope with that? Ag I don't know, we'll see. Are you involved? No Who's your inspiration – local – Valiant Swart international – Dire Straits and Bruce Springsteen Have you ever done something stupid in your life? Ya, lots of things, I took a spear gun on tour with the intentions to use it and never did Would you consider acting in the future?
