If there were a novel to be written about any disc jockey. The book would most certainly be based on the uprising of Miss Lee-Anne Ahrends, better known to the dance music world as Missred. Words cannot be used to describe the amount of talent and creativity this little diva of the decks has, the only way that you are going to fully understand, appreciate and admire the unmistakable sounds that leave you standing breathless on the dance floor is to witness it first hand. A blend of deep, tech house, as well as the smooth, sultry sounds of warm funk are her styles of choice and her ability to piece them together in such a way that you will be left wondering to yourself where the last 2 hours have gone. Hi Missred, sorry, is it still Missred or have we moved onto Mrsred? Are you married or are you happy?

It is still Missred. Not married. Am happy though and my reason for that has nothing to do with having a man in my life. All I need is my music.

Well it all starts somewhere, usually with an embarresing moment, what was your lucky break in the DJ industry?

I wouldn’t call it an embarrassing moment. Had to play at really arb times @ some pretty strange places. But I am glad I did. Cause it helped me to get me to where I am today.

How long have you been playing now, excluding the bedroom DJ days?

I have been playing for 4 Years. If  I had to exclude my bedroom DJ playing day, I would be playing for 2 years

Your favorite crowd to play to?

I enjoy playing for everyone who has an open-mind and enjoys my music as much as I do.

If you could sum your playing style up into one sentence, what would it be?

Deep, tech and very seductive house music

Every DJ has a frightening first set, well most of them anyway, what was the worst moment you can remember starting to DJ?

I am never frightned, ALWAYS just a little nervous. Never had a bad moment as a DJ. Love what I do cause I do what I love

Vinyl preferably but I do play off CD too.

A lot of DJ’s have a problem of groupies wanting to jump them at every opportunity they get, what was the weirdest offer you ever got from a groupie or fan?

I get asked this question often and my answer is always the same : I never seem to have    any groupies doing crazy things to get my attention. I wish they would. Should make things a little more interesting. ;-)

As long as there is house music there will always be hope for a house nation

I think it is a good thing, but needs more support.

I would rather not answer that question if possible

Too many too mention. People still inspire me everyday.
